At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and volunteers like you help make that possible! Whether you’re connecting one-on-one with a child who needs a little extra encouragement, lending your talents to support a Club project, or simply showing up and being present, your time and energy can have a lasting impact.

Bring your skills, passion, and heart to the Club! All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Ways to Make an Impact

• Tutoring: Support youth in achieving their academic goals.
• Club Dinner: Assist with preparing and serving weekly Club dinners.
• Recess & Activity Support: Help supervise and ensure safety on the playground.
• Snack & Food Support: Support snack distribution or assist with food pantry pick-ups.
• Cleaning & Organizing: Keep our Clubs welcoming and safe.
• Program Support: Share your talents in art, education, technology, fitness, or games.
• Bring Your Own Idea: Lead an activity you enjoy, such as yoga, crochet, or chess.
• Reading Buddies: Join our partner organization, Read Northwest, in providing weekly reading assistance to youth at Boys & Girls Clubs.

What to Expect

1. Apply Now: Fill out your volunteer application and take the first step toward making a difference!
2. Background Check: Complete a quick background check to help us keep our youth safe. No action is needed on your part!
3. Reference Check: We’ll reach out to the references you provide.
4. Volunteer Orientation: Get to know our mission, programs, and what it’s like to be part of our team.
5. Mandatory Training: Complete online training to feel confident and prepared before your first day.
6. Club Matched: Meet a Club Director and find the perfect role that fits your interests and schedule.
7. Begin Volunteering! With your schedule in place, you’re ready to begin.
