Annual fundraising breakfast to support teen leadership programs
Toast for Teens is an annual fundraising event that supports teen leadership programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. Each year Beaches Restaurant provides a chef’s choice breakfast for guests, and our teens and sponsor partners are onsite to meet, greet, and serve up the special event! This event is one of the highlights of the year for fun and connection amongst our supporters, staff, and teen Club members alike!
Toast for Teens funds Teen Leadership Programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington including: Keystone Club, HOPE Team, Torch Club, College Prep, Youth of the Year, SMART Girls, and Junior Staff. Participating teens are members of one or more of these amazing leadership programs offered at the Club level. One of the programs with the highest levels of participation is Keystone Club. Keystone Club, a national program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is a leadership development program for high school aged Club members. Throughout the year, Keystone members must plan, delineate, and implement large-scale projects in three critical areas: career development, academic success, and community service. Similarly, our H.O.P.E. team is a program of extreme growth that partners with our Prevention and Intervention programs as a way to empower and engage youth in their community. H.O.P.E. Team connects Club members to volunteer and community engagement projects throughout Clark County. Youth interest and perspective drive service projects which include monthly community dinners, food pantries, weekly Teen Night’s and neighborhood park clean ups.
